[Buffy sits, quite quietly, on the riverbank near the bridge where she had been taken. Returned now, she looks to be unharmed. No bruises, no cuts, no blood. In a lot of ways she looks as though she hasn't even left.

She hugs her knees to her chest and leans her head back, drinking in the crisp autumnal air. The Slayer looks rather approachable this evening. One might even go so far as to say Buffy looks peaceful.]

(ooc; Back from hiatus and back to my regular scheduled posting. Except a minor dip in tagging over the weekend, though. Going on a small excursion during the days.)

[She smiles calmly--almost too calmly for this particular young woman--and looks up at him from her seat.]

Now that's I've...returned? It's not like I've been to the Bahamas--unfortunately. [That does confuse her. Logical minds could assume she doesn't have any concept of being gone.]

[Here comes Angel. He's worried as heck, and you can probably feel the worry coming at you from behind like a bus. But you seem... unharmed? Angel's bandaged around the middle, and his coat's got a nice swordhole through it... He seems to be in worse shape than she is, oddly enough.]

...Buffy?

Uh-huh? [She turns her head over her shoulder to clock your approach, looking content as content can be. Until she spots the tell-tale signs of something rather ungood. Cue the worry, the frowny face. She pushes herself up onto her feet.]

[And since I was planning to return her today anyway, Aerith is making her way through the village after her own kidnapping. Nothing majorly wrong on the surface; she's a bit shaken up, but happy to be back. And when she sees Buffy, she smiles and makes her way over. She's not even aware Buffy was kidnapped, since she disappeared on the fifteenth.]

Buffy! Hi! [WAVING.]

[Buffy isn't even aware that she's been kidnapped. Plus a few other things, as a bonus surprise at the bottom of the cereal box. So she waves enthusiastically and smiles to see her friend approach.]

Up to mischief? [She asks contentedly. Awfully contentedly, in fact.]

[Aerith shakes her head.] Maybe later, but right now I'm just glad to be back. [She pauses, tilting her head slightly to the side. Frowns a little. And then she focuses on Buffy again, touching her arm lightly.] Do you know what day it is today?

[out for a walk, and what's this? A familiar face, returned. Estelle hurries over, smiling but looking carefully for any signs of injuries.]

Oh, Buffy! It's good to see you.

Uhm, good to see you too. [Slightly confused by your enthusiasm, but happy to return it regardless.]

[The Heavy is wandering past, carrying a blue briefcase packed to bursting with folders and papers; pages are actually slipping out and fluttering away in the breeze. He looks quite satisfied with himself. Humming something or other, he walks right past Buffy, stops, then backtracks.] Ah, comrade Buffy! You have returned! How are you?

Heavy! [With a smile, she pops to her feet. Strangely, although it seems she has had trouble remembering a lot of the past few weeks...meeting this wonderful fellow as not been altered in any way.

Soon, she's giving him a look over the briefcase, though.] Up to something important?

Jim! [She stands with her customary that's my favourite space-boy smile plastered all over her face. The Slayer's looking rather chipper for a girl who is supposed to have just returned from an inhospitable holding cell.]

[Wesley heard through the grapevine that Buffy's back, so now he's out looking for her. And look, there she is! That was easy.]

[How odd. According to her memory, she has spent the last week hanging daily by this river with no interruptions and--all of a sudden--this day is filled with folks coming up and saying hello. So, with a slightly odd and bemused smile, Buffy looks up at the approaching ex-Watcher.]

[He shrugs. He's fairly sure that was the equivalent of 'what's up' but sometimes teenager-speak still confuses him.]

[McCoy is not by the river this evening. Who do you think he is, David Attenborough? No instead he is sitting outside House Seven ruffling through a deck of cards without anything else to do.]

[It's okay, Bones. You'll soon have something to occupy your time as a certain blonde vampire slayer comes cheerfully down the path towards the seventh house, barefoot. She would burst straight through the front door, but comes across the Doctor outside, instead. With a smile, she leans forward and--behaving as though nothing at all was out of the ordinary--asks:] Hiya, Doc. Could you spare a cup of sugar for a miserable little me who can't bake to save her life and therefore certainly doesn't keep anything at all close to baking ingredients in her own house?

[Emil remembers having spoken to this young woman before, but he can't for the life of him remember her name. Oh well, that gives him an excuse to go over to her.]

It's amazing how fast the leaves start to turn colors...

[Funny you should think that, Emil. Buffy likewise has a hard time recalling yours; however, she smiles and looks up from her contemplation.]
