"...You forgot the space. Try clapping."

"I!" Clap. "S!"

"...You put the space in the wr--"

He was teasing. Surely, he was teasing. She fell back onto the bed, shoulders shaking with laughter.

"I. S."

"GOING TO HAVE HER WAY WITH ME!"

That probably shouldn't have been shouted.

Still laughing, she once again sat up -- this time to jump forward and jokingly crush her palm against his mouth. She tried to contain that shout.

"Jack," she breathed his name and nuzzled her face against his neck. "Oh, that is so one strike."

"I've made you laugh," he whispered back with rough lips against her palm. Pleased. And unable to restrict his hands to the most neutral areas of her body any longer. "How many more strikes can I receive?"

"Three and you're out. It's simple baseball."

And suddenly, this particular sport's metaphors became tantalizing relevant.

"Tell me. Tell me about baseball." She might be able to inform him that, at that very moment, he was reaching second base. And...staying there. Happily.

"Well, there are...b-bases."

She kissed the neck-space just below his ear and gladly drifted onto Jack's lap. "First base. Second base. Other bases."

"Mmmm. Bases." He ducked his head to kiss her throat, hands still playfully wandering. "There are many? Many bases?"

"Three." Her head tilted far far back; it wasn't often in her life that she could so readily trust her neck to anyone. So, in this past year, she'd revelled in it. Buffy's arms bent and her hands slid up amongst his dreads, creeping up across the space between his wings and his scalp.

"N-no. Four. There's always home. Home plate. First. Second. Third. Home. You'd steal every one."

"I see. And how does a man steal home?"

"Very, very cautiously. Or not very cautiously at all, if he wants."

"Perhaps he needs to steal the other bases first." These words were mumbled against her skin as the pirate kissed down the soft skin of her body. It was not a stealthy theft. "I'll get away with it more better if you close your eyes, most beautiful."

"There's an order. First, then second, then third. Then..."

With a very happy sigh, she did indeed close her eyes. The Slayer relaxed to the point of reclining, depending upon the sailor's hands to keep her from simply bending back onto the mattress. Depending on him was an action all on its own. Special, maybe. Trusting.

"Of course, it's all moot with a home-run."

"How many home runs do you think I can gain tonight, hmm?" Jack supported her even as he tried to melt her all the more. So bendy, she. Lovely.

"That depends entirely on..." Words escaped her for a moment. And then a moment more. Buffy unbent her legs from the complicated tangle of limbs and fastened them so securely about the sitting pirate's waist. Anchored, again.

"On whether you manage to avoid two more strikes, slugger."

Jack tried to flip her, uncomplicating that tangle even more.

"I'm good at avoiding penalties. Excellent, really. A master."

Buffy remained pliable and melty only to a point and that point appeared rather rapidly when Jack attempted a flip. Her strength flexed easily into use and she resisted, pushing back against his try. But she didn't try flipping him in return. Nope, she seemed perfectly content to stay stuck and sitting with him in the centre of the bed.

"So?" She kissed the tip of his nose. "Avoid'em. Strike the first was definitely incurred over a noise violation. Be quieter," Buffy warned him a second before she kissed him more properly.

"Don't want to be quiet. Want to be loud." And he wanted to be close and wound up and within her. "More bases, please."

"Should've moved somewhere with fewer housemates. I guarantee that none of them are interested in hearing...well--

Close your eyes."

"Closed. And I have moved to just the right place, woman."

"Don't call me that," she warned him (rather coyly, really) while also nudging him back onto the bed.

"Girl. Love. Annie. Slayer. Mmph. Hallo."
